Facebook CAPI Setup

Meta Conversions API sends events from your server to Meta, reducing data loss from browser restrictions and ad blockers. Combined with your browser pixel, CAPI improves event match quality and ad optimization.

Gettracked formats payloads, stores your access token securely, and forwards events to Meta when credentials are saved in your container.

• A Meta Business Manager account
• A Facebook Pixel on your website (browser-side)
• Admin or developer access in Meta Events Manager
• An active Gettracked container with the tracking script installed

1. Open your container → Settings tab → integration section.
2. Select the Facebook CAPI tab.
3. Click Edit next to Facebook Pixel ID and paste your Pixel ID from Meta Events Manager.
4. Click Edit next to Conversion API Access Token and paste the token generated in Events Manager.
5. Click Save Manual Change.

1. In Meta Events Manager, open your Pixel → Settings → Conversions API.
2. Under “Set up manually,” click Generate access token.
3. Copy the token and paste it into Gettracked.

Trigger a test event on your website, then check:

• Events tab — event appears in the browser
• Logs tab — filter by Facebook and confirm a successful delivery status
• Meta Events Manager → Test Events — server event appears alongside browser events

For campaign-level reporting (spend, ROAS, CPA, breakdowns by campaign, ad set, and creative), connect your Meta account from the Meta CAPI page in the dashboard navigation. This uses OAuth and shows live ad performance after connection.
